Objective

A precautionary recall of NutriWolds Rawest Rabbit due to a potential mislabelling error.

Identification of Affected Product

• Product Name: Products labelled with; NutriWolds Rawest Rabbit 500g and 1kg.
• Product Identification: Products dated with 08/24 and 12/24 that have a green and black speckled appearance.
• Distribution Dates: 17th August 2023 - 16th June 2024.
• Incorrect Label Info: Labelled as Rawest Rabbit but recipe inside could potentially be Rare Bit of Rabbit.

Notification

• Consumers: E-mail to all consumers who purchased the product directly. Public recall notice via website and social media.
• Retailers: E-mail to all retailers and distributors supplied with potentially affected batches.
• Description of Error: Product potentially mislabelled with wrong product information
• Consumer Instructions: Please return the product to the place of purchase for a refund or replacement

Product Retrieval

Instructions for Retailers

• Remove affected products from shelves immediately.
• Arrange for the return or disposal of the affected products.
• Maintain a log of all retrieved products.

Instructions for Consumers

• Return affected products to the place of purchase.
• Refunds or replacements will be provided.
• Contact customer service for queries and to arrange returns to us: paws@nutriwolds.co.uk

 

Reprocessing

• A newly relabelled batch will be produced for distribution.

 

Root Cause Analysis

• The labelling error was due to a staff oversight when labelling products. 

Note: This recall is precautionary. So far, only one order of each weight (1kg and 500g) has been reported.

 

Corrective Actions

• Implement immediate additional quality control checks to prevent future labelling errors.
• New packaging and labelling to be introduced to remove manual labelling.

Reporting

• Internal Report: Detailed report on recall process and outcomes.
